Abstract :
Migrant students are students who are far from their families and closest people so they need support, affection, motivation, trust, etc to be able to adapt to the academic environment or outside of academics so that they can increase their confidence in their abilities. This study aims to determine the relationship between belongingness needs and self efficacy on migrant students. The subjects of this study amounted to 336 students of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang in 2015 and 2016 who migrated from outside East Java taken by cluster sampling technique. The instrument of this study uses a general self efficacy scale and belongingness needs satisfaction scale. The data analysis method used is the product moment Pearson correlation with the results r = 0.44 and p = 0.00 (p <0.05). This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between belongingness needs and self efficacy on migrant students.
