Abstract :
Emotional maturity is one aspect of adolescent emotional development that can be seen through behavior, for example being patient. Adolescent emotional maturity is influenced by the wholeness of the family, because the family is the first environment for teenagers to study. This study aims to determine the differences in adolescent emotional maturity in terms of family wholeness. The focus of family wholeness in this study was adolescents from parents who were still intact (complete) and adolescents from divorced parents. The research subjects amounted to 122 consisting of 61 adolescents with whole parents and 61 adolescents with divorced parents who were taken by quota sampling technique. The instrument used is Emotional Maturity Scale (EMS) with a reliability value of 0.94. The results of different tests showed p value = 0.049 with the mean value obtained from whole family adolescents was 122.72, while adolescents with divorced parents were 133.36. These results indicate that adolescents from intact families are more mature emotions than teenagers with divorced parents. The conclusion is that there are significant differences in adolescent emotional maturity in terms of family wholeness (p ≤ 0,05)
