Abstract :
Effectiveness Of The Use Of A Characteristic Mask In Lowering The Level Of Hospitalization Stress In Toddlers Aged Children In The Hospital Islamic Aisyiyah Malang ABSTRACT Rizky Amalia , Nurul Aini , Juwitasari Background : The toddler being hospitalized is most likely to be stressed, because for toddlers hospitalized the hospitalization is a very uncomfortable and threatening experience. Because, be in a new environment and meet with strangers. The purpose of this study is the application of the principle of atraumacare and reduce stress on toddlers when hospitalization. Method : This study used quasi experimental design. Sampling uses purposive sampling with the number of respondents 24, who were divided into control groups (12 respondents) and intervention groups (12 respondents). The measuring instrument used in this study is SCAS. The statistical analysis using the Mann-Whitney test Result : The results showed that the p value of the < 0.05 which can be shown with a significant value of 0.003 was defined is a difference in the level of hospitalization stress on the control group and the intervention group. In the control group mostly suffered heavy stress as much as 7 respondents and in the group of interventions were mostly stressed as much as 9 respondents. Conclusion : Based on the results of these studies, character masks can be used as an alternative intervention to reduce the stress of hospitalization, because it proved to be significant in reducing the stress of hospitalization.
