Abstract :
The survey of natural disasters can also be referred to as survivors. Survivors of natural disasters must face complex situations, both psychologically, socially and physically. If the survivor does not have gratitude where the individual will easily accept it with respect to it, it is difficult to find meaningfulness of life. The purpose of this study is the relationship between the gratitude and the meaning of life of adolescent disaster survivors in Palu City. This study used a purposive sampling, with the criteria of the research subjects being adolescents aged 12-20 who were identified as survivors in the city of Palu. The study used the Meaning in Life Quistionnaire and the Gratitude Questionnaire. Data analysis using product moment correlation test analysis. The results of a relationship between gratitude and meaningfulness of life in adolescents. The correlation coefficient (r) is 0.419 with a value of p = 0,000 <0.05. This shows that the higher the level of gratitude of a teenager survivor, the higher the meaningfulness of his life. The contribution of gratitude towards the meaning in life of adolescent survivors is 17.5%.
