Abstract :
Rust tumor is a dangerous disease, especially in the sengon plant. The tumor of the young tumor is brownish brown and coated with a layer of reddish red flour, is a collection of pathogens, while the old tumor is reddish brown reddish to black and usually the tumor is porous with holes, and used as ant nests or insects other. This research was conducted in Pait Village, Kasembon Subdistrict, Malang Regency. The research method uses the observation method by observing the symptoms caused by sengon plants in the field. The tumor rust attacking the sengon plant Pait Village Kasembon Sub-district Malang was quite severe because based on the results of the area of the rust tumor attack from plot I to plot X reached 100% means the severity of the tumor rust attack was very wide because more than 75% which meant the tumor rust attack was very broad, while the intensity of the tumor rust attack based on the results of the calculation reached 80% means the severity of the tumor rust attack is very severe. Tumor corrosion that attacks in Pait Village does not interfere with the growth of the sengon plant because according to Setiadi the 12-month-old sengon plant has a height of 5 m while the height of the sengon plant found in Pait Village which is 2 years old has a height of 7m.
