Abstract :
The task of human development in young adulthood is to build a relationship with the opposite sex, one of which is marriage. Before entering married life, it is very important for young adult to prepare for a marriage well to create a harmonious’ life. In preparing for a marriage, it is necessary to have a close relationship full of trust and positive outlook on the partner. Close relationship created by attachment between couples. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between attachment and marriage readiness in young adult. This research uses quantitative methods with correlation analysis. The results showed a significant relationship between attachments and marriage readiness in young adult. Secure attachment has a significant positive relationship with marriage readiness (r = 0.490; p < 0,05), anxiety attachment has a significant negative relationship with marriage readiness (r = -0,381; p < 0,05), and attachment avoidance have significant negative relationship with readiness for marriage (r = -0,455; p < 0,05).
