Abstract :
Special tutor who teaches in extraordinary schools are required to have the competence to teach, educate, guide, and develop creative and innovative learning materials according to the needs of children with special needs. These demands can cause work stress on special supervisors. With gratitude can increase positive feelings in life. This study aims to determine the relationship of gratitude with work stress experienced by special supervisors in extraordinary schools. The study uses aquantitative correlational approach with a GRAT scale and job stress scale. The sampling method used was incidental sampling with research subjects totaling 129 special supervisors from 9 schools in Malang. Analysis of the data used is Pearson product moment. The result, there is a negative relationship between gratitude to work stress on special supervisors with elaboration, correlation coefficient (r) = -0.804 and significance (p = 0,000 <0.05). This means that the higher the teacher's gratitude, the lower the work stress experienced by the special tutor and vice versa.
