Abstract :
High self-esteem helps to increase one's initiative, resilience and satisfaction. Someone with high self-esteem has high resilience, he has the ability to rise again by overcoming the stresses experienced. This study aims to determine the relationship of self esteem with coping strategies in adolescent drug users at AKSI NTB rehabilitation center. The subject of this study has 104 adolescents who experiencing rehabilitation in the rehabilitation center of AKSI NTB precisely in Mataram City by using random sampling. Data collection used self esteem scale and coping strategy scale. Before conducting the research, the instrument was tested to determine its validity and reliability. We used the Regression Analysis method. Based on the study result, the variable Problem Focused Coping (PFC) has insignificant correlation with self-esteem. But the variable Emotion Focused Coping (EFC) has significant correlation with self-esteem.
