Abstract :
Discipline is very important to create a conducive learning process, in addition to that students are organized in their daily lives, such as in the dormitory. Boarding schools on average have a tight schedule and have some rules that must be obeyed. This is so that students can control their behavior so they don't behave as they please. Therefore, the need for discipline in students in order to reduce the appearance of violating behavior by conducting self-control training. The purpose of this study is to find out self-control training can improve discipline in junior high school students at boarding school. The method used in this study is one group pretest-posttest design experiment. The subject selection uses the Nonprobability Sampling technique of the type of purposive sampling with the characteristics of students who lack discipline, live in a dormitory, and have received the first warning letter from the counseling guidance teacher (BK). Research subjects were 8 junior high school 8th grade students. Data analysis used paired sample t-test analysis techniques. The results showed that self-control training can improve student discipline in junior high schools with a sig value of 0,000 <0.05 which means there are differences before and after self-control training is given to junior high school students.
