Abstract :
Bullying generally has instability in controlling emotions.Cases of bullying that occur on an ongoing basis have a very negative impact, so there needs to be an effective solution in dealing with it. The solution is in the form of emotional regulation training. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of emotional regulation training in reducing bullying behavior in high school students. This research method using quasi-experimental research with the model of pretest-posttest control group design. Subjects were students in grade 10 senior high school Private totaling 16 people, consisting of 8 students experimental group and 8 students control group. The analysis was performed with non-parametric statistical test by Mann Whitney U test is to comparing the results of the posttest bullying behavior of the experimental group and the control group, the value of post test Z -2.055, Asymp. Sig = 0,040. Furthermore, the results ot test analysis Wilcoxon in the experimental group before and after the training with a significant level of emotion regulation obtaned pretest Z value of -2.388 (sig = 0.017); p < 0,05, this means that the hypothesis is accepted. The results of this study, in the experimental group there is a significant decrease in bullying behavior, after being given training of emotion regulation and showing that, training is effective in reducing bullying behavior.
