Abstract :
Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are horticultural crops that have high economic value and can be used as raw materials for the food industry. So there is a need to increase shallot production. Based on information from farmers in the Poncokusumo District area, they stated that shallot production experienced crop failure which was thought to be caused by soil types and varieties that did not suit the characteristics of the soil. This research was conducted in Wonorejo Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. The time for this research is October 2023 to January 2024. This study used Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The first factor is organic material and the second factor is variety, with three replication. Then the data was analyzed with anova and a further test of Tukey 5%. The first observation began at 14 days after planting and subsequent observations were made at intervals of once every 10 days. The parameters used include growth and yield parameters. The research results showed that the type of organic material treatment did not have a significant effect on growth parameters or yields. The variety treatment showed a real influence on all parameters. The V1 variety (Batu Ijo) showed relatively higher yields in the parameters of plant height, bulb diameter, wet weight per hill and dry weight per hill.
