Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of series image puzzle learning media on narrative essay writing skills of students in low class. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. The research design used was Nonequevalent Control Group Design. The sample used was sample random sampling, namely class III students at random regardless of the strata or levels in the study, while the class that was used as the study sample were class IIIA and class IIIB Cibeureum Hilir 5 Elementary School, Sukabumi City. The instrument used was a test, the test was given at the pretest and posttest. The learning process in the experimental class uses series image puzzle learning media, while learning in the control class without using series image puzzle media. The results of the research data analysis that has been tested for normality and homogeneity test are obtained from the posttest value. There are differences in the average value of the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class scores a final average of 77,00 and the control class students get a final average of 68,25. So, that the experimental class and the control class have a ratio of 8,75. This is evidenced by the results of the testing of the Independent Two Sample T Test showing a significance value of 0,018 smaller than the significance level of 0,05, meaning that there are significant differences in results between the experimental class posttest and the control class posttest. So, it can be concluded that the series image puzzle media has an influence on the narrative essay writing skills of students in the low low clas.
