Abstract :
Background of this research behind the low speaking skills especially in lesson Indonesia language. One way that can be used to overcome these problems is by using Show And Tell Method. This study aims to improve students' speaking skills through the application of Show And Tell Method at Pintukisi Public Elementary School, Sukabumi City. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the design of Kemmis and Taggart. The research participants were class II B students of Pintukisi State Elementary School with 34 students.The research subject is speaking skills. This study was conducted for 2 cycles. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, speaking skills tests, and documentation, the data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative. Learning speaking skills using Show And Tell Method shows a good process and a positive response. The results of the study show the process of using Show And Tell Method can improve students' speaking skills. The increase can be seen from the average value of students' speaking skills at pretest, which is 54 points, to 68 points in the first cycle, so that it increases by 14 points with classical completeness of 32%. The average value of students' speaking skills in the first cycle was 68 points to 81 points in the second cycle so that it increased by 13 points with classical completeness of 91%.
