Abstract :
PT. Bank Pembangunan Jawa Barat & Banten Tbk. Branch of Sukabumi is one of the banks in Sukabumi city that has been established since 1961. The problem identified at PT. Bank Pembangunan Jawa Barat & Banten Tbk. Branch of Sukabumi was decrement of employee performance. The research was aimed at analyzing the influence of selection process and job placement toward employee performance. The research methods applied were descriptive and associative. The techniques of collecting data applied were observation, interview, questionnaire, documentation and literature review. The techniques of analyzing data applied were commenced from preparing data, tabulating data, to testing phase by means of multiple correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, multiple linear regression and simultaneous (F test) hypothesis test. Based on the result of the research, the determination coefficient test observed from (R2) value is amounted to 0.796 which means that there is an influence between selection process and job placement towards employee performance amounted to 79.6% and the remaining 20.4% is influenced by other factors out of the research. Thus, according to multiple correlation coefficient test observed from R value amounted to 0.892 shows that there is strong relation between selection process (X1) and job placement (X2) towards employee performance (Y). The calculation of F test shows that F count > F table which namely is 72.394 > 3.25 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It means that selection process (X1) and job placement (X2) altogether influence significantly employee performance (Y).
