Abstract :
In the efforts of fulfilling children?s rights, a policy namely The Development of Children?s Friendly City founded by The Ministry of Women Empowerment and Children Protection under legal protection namely minister regulations Number 11 Year 2011 about Children?s Friendly City Policy which was then implemented in Sukabumi city based on legal protection namely regional regulations Number 4 Year 2013 was created. The research was triggered by the lack of children?s rights fulfillment in Sukabumi city. The research desired to find out the implementation of children?s friendly city n Sukabumi city by applying a theory from Van Meter and Van Horn. The method applied was descriptive qualitative. The techniques of collecting data applied were interview, observation and documentation. The analysis conducted was through Milled and Huberman model. The results of the research show that the implementation of children?s friendly city development policy has been adequately well implemented due to the presence of initiative from the government of Sukabumi city in sustaining the policy through activities and creation of duties in order to easing the implementation itself. However, the policy?s implementation has not been optimally conducted due to the lack of resources and socialization towards society. Suggestion given is that the government is expected to improve the facility in fulfilling children?s rights which can be in terms of human and financial resources as well as the distribution of socialization towards society.
