Abstract :
The problem in this research is the low of critical thinking skill to V-A student in science lesson. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning process using problem based learning model in science subjects, describe the improvement of critical thinking skills through problem based learning model in science subjects. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) as much as 2 cycles. This research is accompanied by data collection in the form of test result of critical science thinking skill, observation result, field note and documentation result. Data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. Subjects in this study were Va class students in SD Negeri Pintukisi as many as 27 people consisting of 12 women and 15 men. The results showed an increase in critical thinking skills of learners. In the first cycle increased by 33% from 26% completeness level in pretest to 59% in cycle I action. In cycle II it increased by 34% to 93%.
