Abstract :
This study aims to describe the implementation of models of Problem Based Learning against the process of learning and skill enhancement process of science students in the class IV elementary school. The research method used is the class action Research (PTK) and design research using model Kemmis and Mc Taggart conducted as many as two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Participants in the study are grade IV as many as 26 students, consisted of 15 male students and 11 female students. Data collection techniques in the study of test techniques using either a pretest and posttest. While engineering a non test in the form of observation, field notes and documentation. Data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. The results of the research on pre cycle through test process skills science indicator, showing the ketuntasan of 19%. Then rise on cycle I achieve the ketuntasan of 65% and the results of the observation process skills science indicators scored an average of 69. While in cycle II, test results showed ketuntasan reaches 92% and the results of the observation process skills science indicators scored an average of 82. As for the overall improvement with the calculation of the gain obtained score 0.64 by category. This research concluded that the application of the model of Problem Based Learning can improve the process skills science elementary school students 2017/2018 school year.
