Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to describe the learning process using Snowball Throwing model and the increase of student?s numeracy comparison and scale skills. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research with cycle model developed by Kemmis and Taggart. The research was conducted with two cycles that equipped data accumulation such as observation thread, test result and field note. The object in this research is the fifth grader with the total 26 students that consists 15 male students and 11 female students. The results of research on the application of learning model of Snowball Throwing in the mathematics learning of fractional subjects show a value of 3.2 which has a good category. The student?s numeracy comparison and scale skills in fisrt cycle shows an increase with the average value is 73 and the percentage of learning completeness up to 62%. The second cycle shows an increase with the average value is 81 and the percentage of learning completeness up to 92%. These study concludes that assembling the Snowball Throwing learning model can improve the numeracy comparison skills and the scale of students on learning mathematics.
