Abstract :
Demand for larvae of baster fish reaches 6 million ind/week and only 25% have been fulfilled. The use of substrate innovation is required to increase the fertilization rate of baster fish. This study was aimed to assess the fertilization rate of baster fish using kajo substrate. The treatment to be tested are fertilization rate of fish on a plastic substrate and kajo. This research was conducted in the Bossbaster aquaculture pond, Sukabumi, West Java. This research was conducted in June 2019 for two weeks. The method used in this research is mean difference test through data collection and data analysis. The results of the study showed that the percentage of fertilization rate of baster fish eggs was 86.74% and this value is categorized high.
