Abstract :
The research was entitled ?The Implementation of Regional Disaster Management Policy in Sukabumi City?. The research was conducted due to the presence of problems such as the lack of manpower, less optimal facilities, infrastructures and communication. The research was conducted at Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sukabumi city. The research was aimed at finding out the implementation of such policy and the factors that hamper and support the success of the policy implementation itself. The theory applied in the research was policy implementation model from Edward III. The research method deployed was descriptive analysis with qualitative approach. The techniques of collecting data utilized were observation, interview, and documentation. The technique of determining informants applied was nonprobability sampling with snowball sampling technique. The results of the research show that the implementation of regional disaster management policy in Sukabumi city has not been optimal. It can be observed from the socialization activity which is still deficient and undistributed; the manpower and facilities as well as infrastructures which still require improvement. The factors that hamper the policy are the institution, personnel discipline, cost, resources, facility and inconducive environment. The factor that support the policy is regulation about disaster management.
