Abstract :
This research?s is entitled The Stages of Plot on Life Journey of The Main Character. This research aims at describing the life journey of the main character through the stages of plot and the description of the other characters influence toward the life journey of the main character. Some theories applied in this research are taken from Abrams (1981), Aristotle, Nurgiyantoro (2012), Spruiell (1983), Stanton (2012), and Weststeijin (2003). The writer applied qualitative method in description with objective approach. The result of this research is describe 3 stages of plot which consist from first stage, middle stage, and last stage in Oliver life journey. In the first stage, there is an introduction and stage of conflict appearance, then in the middle stage is the stage of increasing conflict. And in the last stage is completion stage.about how the story ends. In this research also found the other characters influence in Oliver life journey. There are 6 characters who influence in Oliver life journey namely Mrs. Mann?s character, Mr. Bumbble, Mr. Sowerberry, Fagin, Mr. Brownlow, and Nancy.
