Abstract :
The title of this research is Perilaku Tokoh dalam Drama King Lear Karya William Shakespeare. The aims of this research are to describe of the behavior of characters in William Shakespeare's King Lear drama and to describe the influence of the behavior of characters in William Shakespeare's King Lear drama. This research uses the theory of James and Liebeck, Aristotle in Upton, and Aminudin to analyze characters. Theory from Mcgann and Schwartz, Nurgiyantoro, and Waluyo to analyze the main characters, and theory from Skinner, Miller and Dollard, and Hersey and Blanchard in Dharma to analyze behavior. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method with an objective approach. The results of this research found some descriptions of character?s behavior, namely by means of communication with other figures at the time of a conflict in Lear Palace and Gloucester's residence. The influence of character behavior that occurs in each character is very influential for royal life.
