Abstract :
One of the real impacts of the development of technological and internet advancements is on the cultural aspect, with the emergence of global culture that is becoming a trend in countries around the world including Indonesia. Globalization narrows the distance between one country and another, making it easier for a culture to enter into another country until a trans-culture occurs. BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan is one of the popular Korean boy bands in Indonesia. BTS' content shows the similarities and differences that exist between Korean and Indonesian cultures. This research aimed to find out how BTS (ARMY) fans reception to BTS content using Stuart Hall's reception analysis. This type of research is qualitative with data collection techniques using depth interviews, observations and literature studies. This research informant is four people who fall into the ARMY category who often watch content from BTS. The results of this study explained that informants play an active role in receiving BTS content, leaving them in three positions: dominant position, negotiation and opposition. Social and cultural background influences informants in accepting and translating meaning.
