Abstract :
The study aims to analyze the impact of sharia competence and organizational commitment on employee performance with Islamic work ethics as an intervening variable at Islamic banks in Pekalongan. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed to employees of Islamic banks in Pekalongan. The measurement in this study uses multiple linear analysis using the SPSS version 16.0 computer program. Based on the coefficient determination of sharia competence and organizational commitment with Islamic work ethics as the intervening variable, it can explain the variable employee performance of 62% and the remaining 38% is explained by other variables outside this research model. The test results showed that sharia competence and organizational commitment had a significant effect on Islamic work ethics at Islamic banks in Pekalongan. In addition, sharia competence and organizational commitment have a significant effect on employee performance at Islamic banks in Pekalongan. Furthermore, the sharia competence variable has no effect on employee performance with Islamic work ethics as an intervening variable at Islamic banks in Pekalongan. While the organizational commitmen variable has a significant effect on employee performance with Islamic work ethics as an intervening variable at Islamic banks in Pekalongan.
