Abstract :
Parental guidance on students' Spiritual intelligence is very important when students study in class or to improve results which are commonly referred to as academic achievement. In terms of spiritual intelligence, it is largely determined by family support in the form of nurturing, guidance, and encouragement to learn a child. Spiritual intelligence gives students the role to understand in the form of new perspectives and perspectives on life, which is reflected in their responsibility to choose and choose new solutions for creative life. The role of spiritual intelligence provides students with strategies to improve their academic achievement.
This study describes the relationship between spiritual knowledge and family environment on academic achievement of students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Respondents of this study were students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, totaling 88 students.
This research has several approaches. The research was conducted by sharing questions with the information generated by the researcher. If the data collection tool is observation or analysis and in this study the analysis is carried out using a sampling procedure, stratified random sampling, this method is carried out by dividing the population into generation levels 1-7. identify the relationship between the independent variables, namely spiritual intelligence. and family environment. These results were achieved using SPSS 16 and the results obtained are as follows; There is a significant relationship between 12.1% contribution to academic achievement, spiritual intelligence and family environment, the remaining 87.9% is influenced by other factors. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the following variables: Spiritual intelligence, family environment and academic achievement, F values 5.846 and 0.000 (p < 0.005). Based on the results of rxy -095, with a translation level of 0.380, p>0.005. Based on the results of the small hypothesis (Ha 1), the researcher was rejected. So spiritual intelligence has nothing to do with academic achievement.
