Abstract :
This study aims to estimate the influence of the contribution of women's representation in the political field through the legislative body in the Gender Development Index (IPG) in West Java Province in 2017-2020. The method used is a quantitative method with panel data regression analysis. The dependent variable of the study was IPG, while the independent variables of the study were the Involvement of Women DPRD Members (DPRD), Total Female Population (JPP), Average Length of Schooling for Women (RLS), and Gender Empowerment Index (IDG). The results of this study indicate that RLS has a positive effect on IPG. Meanwhile, DPRD, JPP and IDG have no effect on IPG.
