Abstract :
The child with special needed mentally retarded is a child who is weak in understanding level than others. Currently, the learning process in SLB Negeri Sukoharjo is still using a book, so the students are easily bored with the learning material given by the teacher. Thus, on learning process needs an interesting learning method through educational games. Through this educational games design, hopefully, can help and makes the teacher in SLB Negeri Sukoharjo easier in the learning process. The students are expected to be easier to understand learning material. This research method is used by interview the curriculum staff of SLB Negeri Sukoharjo. The result of this research is educational games contain animal breeding. This educational games design aims to give material of introduction animals breeding by laying eggs and giving birth also the introduction of sequences breeding process in the animal. The research method used in this research is Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method and the educational games are designed by an application named Construct 2. Testing will be conducted by the Black Box method to find out the functionality of the games and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by questionnaire to find out the worth of those educational games. The questionnaire result is 87%, which shows that educational games can be received by teachers and student to help in the learning process.
