Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of gender development index, gender empowerment index, women's life expectancy, the average length of schooling for women and the contribution of women's income to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the Riau Islands Province. The analytical method used is panel data regression with a cross section covering 7 regencies/cities in the Riau Islands Province, including Karimun Regency, Bintan Regency, Natuna Regency, Lingga Regency, Anambas Islands Regency, Batam City and Tanjungpinang City. While the time series of the data starts from 2017 to 2020. The results show that the average length of schooling for women and the contribution of women have an effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the Riau Islands Province. While the gender development index, gender empowerment index and women's life expectancy have no effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the Riau Islands Province.
