Abstract :
Cancer is the second deadliest disease in the world after lung disease. Cases of cancer in the world every year is always increasing, even the death rate is also always increasing. These problems are not only on an international scale but also in Indonesia itself, cancer cases are also increasing every year, the Special Region of Yogyakarta is the province with the highest prevalence of cancer cases in Indonesia. Cancer cases continue to increase but health facility services are not evenly distributed, in Indonesia there are only 2 special cancer hospitals, namely Dharmais Cancer Hospital and Siloam MRCCC Hospital. Meanwhile in Yogyakarta, cancer health facilities are available at RSUP Dr. Sardjito, which is a general hospital but has cancer treatment facilities, so that it becomes a cancer referral hospital in Yogyakarta and its surroundings, however the facilities offered will not be as complete as a special cancer hospital, therefore it is necessary to design a special cancer hospital in Yogyakarta. Cancer is a disease that requires treatment other than medical, it also requires psychological treatment. This is because cancer sufferers when convicted of cancer will generally be afraid, feel anxious, and stressed. Based on this, it is necessary to have a healing environment concept approach, namely a design approach towards nature so that it is expected to be an alternative in healing through the patient's psyche. The healing environment concept is realized through a design approach by increasing vegetation, using calming colors, adding water elements, and using natural materials.
