Abstract :
Springs are one of the potential water sources for various purposes in this era.
So that the sustainability of the ecosystem needs to be maintained for the needs and
balance of nature and living things which is certainly sustainable. Senjoyo spring is
one of the natural springs in Tegalwaton Village, Semarang Regency. Currently this
location is being developed into a tour with various facilities, the community and the
local government are also the figures behind the establishment of the tour, so they
created the concept of recreational tourism with local wisdom so that there are many
cultures and traditions in it, then a phenomenon that appears a lot is happening
nowadays, of course with this problem arises which causes the springs which are local
natural resources to be neglected and are in danger of being damaged. So based on
the existing problems the author proposes a design entitled "Development of the
Senjoyo Springs Tourism Area with an Ecological Architecture Approach", this design
aims to develop and maintain the natural preservation of this location so that it can
become an attractive tourist location and build a better surrounding with functions
(social /culture, environment, and economy) that are interrelated and sustainable. The
concept in this design combines the concept of ecological architecture as well as the
concept of education, this concept was chosen based on sustainable Ecological
Architecture and protecting nature and existing water sources as the main potential,
as well as from developments in the tourism aspect which was developed in the concept
of education, which means using the concept of education. - educating the community
and immigrants about how important it is to protect nature, culture, traditions, local
wisdom and a supportive community environment.
