Abstract :
Punishment is one of the educational instruments or tools that educators use on students to lead the students themselves to an educational goal. The implications that occur for education in Islamic boarding schools are by using Surah Al Zilzalah verses 7-8 and Surah Fussilat verses 46 and Al Jatsiyah verses 27-29 as references and knowing the relevance of these verses to Islamic boarding school education. the concept of appropriate punishment for Islamic education in surah Al Zilzalah verses 7-8 and surah Fussilat verse 46 and surah Al Jatsiyah verses 27-29 in Tafsir Ibnu Katsir. According to Arini El-Ghany, the form of punishment applied to students is greatly influenced by various factors, explaining that the formation of laws is aimed at students. This type of research is library research. Library research is used to solve conceptual-theoretical research problems. Many cases of violence that have occurred in Islamic boarding schools recently have led to speculation that the system and model of religious education in Islamic boarding schools is still not friendly to children and does not provide a sense of security or provide protection as a guarantee to parents. There needs to be supervision and education for senior students and educators in the Islamic boarding school environment as well as the participation of relevant stakeholders to avoid violence in administering sanctions or punishments.
