Abstract :
The covid pandemic that has occurred since 2020 has resulted in changes in the learning system. The latest policy related to learning at the University is hybrid learning. The existence of a new learning system in the new normal era raises various challenges related to academic adjustment, especially for new students. The challenges faced by new students can occur as a result of various factors, both internal and external. Phenomena related to the academic adjustment of new students were found and supported by previous research. There are many things that affect academic adjustment itself, namely subjective well- being, gender and place of residence. The purpose of this study is to test academic adjustments reviewed from the subjective well-being, gender and residence of new students. The method to be used is quantitative differential test. Then, the subject in this study is a new student of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This sampling was 353. The tools to collect data use academic adjustment scales and subjective well-being scales. Data analysis uses three-way anova. The results of this study There is a significant difference in academic adjustment reviewed from the level of subjective well-being, namely the higher the level of subjective well- being, the better the academic adjustment. There were no significant differences in academic adjustments reviewed from gender and no significant differences between academic adjustments reviewed from residence.
