Abstract :
Background futsal is a physical activity that has the greatest chance of injury risk. Therefore, dynamic balance in futsal players is needed to reduce the risk of injury during bumps, pushes and falls. Dynamic balance has several important factors including normal body mass index and normal foot shape. Futsal players with poor BMI and abnormal foot shape have a greater chance of injury, especially to the ankle. Objective to determine whether or not there is a relationship between body mass index and foot shape with dynamic balance in UMS futsal players. Methods this study used is a cross sectional study method. Sampling is categorized using purposive sampling. Data analysis technique using Pearson product moment for correlation test. Conclusion statistical tests of the data have a significance value of 0.732 for the correlation between body mass index and foot shape with dynamic balance. Then it is concluded that there is a relationship between body mass index and foot shape with dynamic balance in futsal players of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, that players with poor body weight and foot shape produce poor balance.
