Keywords: Financial Literacy, Independence, Entrepreneurship The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the effect of financial literacy level on the independence attitude of elementary school students, (2) to describe the effect of financial literacy level on entrepreneurial interest of elementary school students, (3) to predict the effect of financial literacy level on entrepreneurial interest through the independence attitude of elementary school students. This research uses phenomenological qualitative research. This research was conducted in 5 elementary schools in Polanharjo District, including SDN 1 Glagahwangi, SDN 2 Kapungan, SDN 1 Karanglo, SDN 1 Kapungan, and SDN 1 Keprabon, conducted in the 2024/2025 school year. Data collection was carried out using interviews and questionnaires. The population in this study were students in grades IV, V and VI in several elementary schools that have implemented financial literacy programs, and the sampling was conducted using cluster random sampling technique. While taking subjects using purposive sampling technique of judgment sampling type, namely students who are taken are students who are considered to have the information needed by the researcher. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. The results of this study show that the level of financial literacy has a significant influence on the independence attitude of elementary school students. Good financial literacy not only includes knowledge about money management, but also equips students with skills in making wise financial decisions and managing resources effectively. This research shows that financial literacy provides a strong foundation for students to develop confidence in the business world, this is because financial literacy has a positive influence on students' entrepreneurial interest. In addition, this study shows that financial literacy and independence attitude have a relationship in shaping entrepreneurial behavior. The formation of an independent attitude through financial literacy education is an important factor that can encourage students to be more interested and brave in undergoing entrepreneurship. Overall, it can be concluded that Financial Literacy has a role in building the attitude of independence and entrepreneurial interest of elementary school students.
