Abstract :
This research aims to (1) describe the structure of a collection of short stories that build on “Surga Juga di Telapak Kaki Ayah†written by Safira Atalla, (2) expose the character education’s value contained in a collection of short stories of “Surga Juga di Telapak Kaki Ayah†written by Safira Atalla, and (3) describe the appropriateness of materials of research results as the materials literature in Junior High School. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study is the word, the sentence contained in the short stories of “Surga Juga di Telapak Kaki Ayah†written by Safira Atalla and teacher interviews. The source of the data in this study is a collection of short stories of “Surga Juga di Telapak Kaki Ayah†written by Safira Atalla published in 2013 and published by CV and English teacher at the junior high school. Engineering data collection using the technique references, see, record, and interviews. Technique of data analysis techniques and heuristics hermeneutik readings, as well as the interactive model. The results of this research are (1) the structure of which is contained in a collection of short stories of “Surga Juga di Telapak Kaki Ayah†written by Safira Atalla’s father figure and a tough sacrifice for his children. The figures involved are†(a) Dad, b) Sons. The groove is a short story contained in the plot forward. As well as setting among other places: the mountains, the home page, etc. (2) the value of chacacter education are contained in a collection of short stories of “Surga Juga di Telapak Kaki Ayah†written by Safira Atalla, among others: (a) hard working religious, (b) curiosity, (c) tolerance, (d) spirit of nationality, (e) appreciate achievement, (f) social care, and (g) responsibility. (3) The results of the analysis of the structure and value of character education are contained in a collection of short stories of “Surga Juga di Telapak Kaki Ayah†written by Safira Atalla as decent literature materials in Junior High School.
