Abstract :
Introduction: High-risk pregnancy is a pregnancy that causes pregnant women and
babies to become ill or even have the risk of the baby dying before labor takes place.
Knowledge of care, prevention efforts, complications or complications in pregnancy,
and high-risk pregnancies are needed by pregnant women during pregnancy. Health
education about high-risk pregnancies is very important to anticipate and reduce
health problems experienced by pregnant women during pregnancy. The use of the

active learning method of the Index Card Match type further increases the enthusiasm
for learning because the process is fun and makes the participants active during the
learning activities. Research method: This study was a Pre Experimental study, with
Pretest-Posttest design without any control groups (Pre and Post Test One Group
Design). The population in this study were 30 people with a total sampling technique.
Analysis using the Paired Sample t-test. The results of the study: 1) knowledge of
pregnant women about high-risk pregnancy in Gonilan Village before getting health
education had sufficient knowledge of 14 people (46.7%), both 13 people (43.3%),
and less than 3 people (10%). 2) knowledge of pregnant women about high-risk
pregnancy in Gonilan Village after getting health education has good knowledge of
27 people (90%), enough 3 people (10%). 3) There is the influence of health
education on the knowledge of pregnant women about high-risk pregnancy in
Gonilan Village with the results of paired sample t-test obtained that the value of t
count is -11,378 with a test significance value smaller than 0.05, namely (0,000
<0,05) . Research conclusion: there is the effect of health education about high-risk
pregnancy with the index card match method on the knowledge of pregnant women in
Gonilan Kartasura Village.
