Abstract :
Self-esteem is refering to a person's or individual's evaluation of the themselfl, both
positive and negative. In adolescence, individuals begin to know dating, dating is
not only has positive impacts but also has negative impacts. One of the negative
impacts is the probability the experience dating violence both offline and online.
The online dating violence usually known as cyber dating violence and can be
nagtive catalyst to individual?s self-esteem. Advances in technology affecting the
intensity of adolescents using technology, it can increase the probability youths
have the opportunity to experience violence indirectly or it can be called cyber
dating violence. Cyber dating violence can be defined as controlling, harassing,
stalking, and abusing a partner through technology and social media. The factors
that influence cyber dating violence are aggression and romantic jealousy.
Someone who experiences cyber dating violence will have an impact on selfesteem. Previous research has shown that cyber dating violence can affect self
esteem. Therefore, with different respndents, this study aims to determine the
effect of cyber dating violence on young women. The research method used is
quantitative, data is collected through a questionnaire on google form. The results
of this study indicate that the dimensions of psychological aggression and sexual
aggression have a positive effect on the self-esteem of adolescent victims of CDV
