Abstract :
Congestion is one of the main problems that are currently occurring in Indonesia,
especially the city of DKI Jakarta. All power and efforts have been made by the
local government to reduce or minimize the occurrence of congestion, one of which
is by using a state-of-the-art technology system, the Intelligent Transportation
System (ITS). Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is planned to be applied in
dki Jakarta public transportation mode, namely buses. The difference between the
existing bus transportation mode and the bus that will be updated is in the service,
such as the payment service system that will become digital, digital travel
information, enhanced security by installing CCTV in each mode, but the fare, time,
and other attributes remain. This research was made with the aim to find out
whether the public transportation users, especially users of public transportation
DKI Jakarta want to move from conventional buses to buses based Intelligent
Transportation System (ITS) or not. This research uses stated preference technique.
After conducting research to 399 respondents and processing data using the help
of SPSS 16.0 application software obtained the results that one of the factors that
support for mode transfer is gender. In the payment system switching option there
is an 80% probability, for digital bus information of 72.9%, for CCTV
implementation of 91.2%, for travel information of 48.8%, for operator monitoring
of 74.3%, and for advanced travel information of 94.3% From the probability that
has been produced, it can be concluded that most of the services that will be updated
using Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) can be accepted by the public
transportation users of DKI Jakarta Province
