Abstract :
ABSTRACT Since 2004, Japan used public diplomacy that focus in pop culture. But, in fact, Japan also conduct one of diplomacy public form that use cuisine to promote, as know as gastrodiplomacy. Japan used washoku as their representative of their gastrodiplomacy. This aim to make Japanese brand can be increased to the world. United State is one of the bigest market for washoku for Japan. This journal provide strategy and effort of Japan gastrodiplomacy washoku to United States that have been done by different actors including governmet, non state actor, bussiness, private citizen, education, and media.
