Abstract :
At the end of 90s, political and social scientists pointed on the fall of Soviet as the end of communism. They justified liberalism as the end of history. Then, the rise of social democrats movements around the world messed up those ?the end of history?arguments. One of the movements was Gerhard Schröder?s and Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands(SPD) victory onthe Germangeneral election in 1998. Schröder, who was a social democrat and pointed himself as a reformer, introduce ed the third way as his political and economic ideology to pull German out of crisis. Due to his reform on welfare programs, Schröder was in charge to change the future of German welfare state. Things were just easy to say, but Schröder was pushed to extricate his positi on as Chancellor due to protests and demonstrations. At the end of 2005, after a long economic recession and unemployment distress, Schröder ended his office role as a Germany Chancellor.
