Abstract :
Bullying is a common thing occured in our society. It can be categorized as bad behavior done by person or group to person or group. In addition, the issue of bullying is not only occured in a real life, but it can also appear in movie & novel especially in Crazy Little Thing Called Love Movie (2009). This study aims to reveal how the impact of bullying on self-confidence in Crazy Little Thing Called Love Movie (2009) & reveals how verbal and physical bullying appear in this movie as well.In the analysis of the study, Wimmer bullying theory and Bandura?s self confidence theory are used. This study also uses qualitative approach as the method of the study. Bullying can happen in close circle. Close circle here means in school and in house. Bullying can be divided into two aspects such as verbal bullying and physical bullying. It found in the analysis that there are five verbal bullying while there are two physical bullying in this analysis. These research findings are divided into four sub chapters. First, analysis of verbal bullying in Nam?s character. Second, analysis of physical bullying in Nam?s character. Third, The impact of bullying towards self-confidence in Nam?s character. Last, the positive affects Nam?s ability to cope with Bullying. There are three Negative impact of bullying and six positive impact of bullying. The finding shows that the positive impact of bullying seems to be stronger than negative bullying. Surprisingly, bullying is not always related to negative things. But, bullying results positive impact on self-confidence. In discussion, The result of bullying impact on selfconfidence is surprising for Nam. Nam can cope with bullying perfectly. From geeky to beautiful, from dark skin to white skin, from short hair to long hair, from judgmental perception (wrong perception) to not judgmental perception, from ordinary person to extraordinary person or famous person, from talented person to multi-talented person. The whole change is coming from the trait of self-confidence. In short, self-confidence becomes motivator and regulator for Nam to be successful person & famous designer in America.
