This research aims to improve students ' writing skills in descriptive text
through the use of Think-Pair-Share method in class XI OTP 2 SMk 2
Kawung Surabaya. The examined class consisted of 36 students, consisting
of 6 male and 30 female. This research is a study using Motode Classroom
Action Research (CAR). The research design applied in this study uses
collaborative class action research. Which is where researchers have been
collaborative with English teachers in SMK 2 Kawung Surabaya as observers
and conducted in two cycles increased the value of descriptive text.
Researchers have applied two cycles in this study, but before performing the
first and second cycles, researchers gave a pre cycle. And the results that can
be on the pre cycles get a percentage of 22.23%, in the first cycle of 52.77%
and the second cycle gets 88.80%. So in the second cycle can be said
successfully. And the results of the study proved that the use of Think-PairShare can improve student writing in descriptive text.
