Abstract :
Streptococcus pyogenes is a gram-positive pathogenic bacteria and cocci shaped in a form that can cause infectious disease. The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of herbal plans that contain antimicrobial agents which are, kidney tea leaves (Othopion stamineus), betel leaf (Piper betle Linn), red ginger (Zingiber officinale var.rabrum), and the flower petals of rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) by doing an assessment. The result of this study showed that betel leaf with 100% concentration of the extract was the most effective herbal plan extract compared to kidney tea leaves (Orthosiphon stamineus), red ginger (Zingiber officinale var.rubrum), and the flower petals of roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) in terms of lysing the Streptococcus pyogenes.
