Abstract :
(ABSTRAKSI) Alat berat telah berkembang pesat, berbagai tugas-tugas dapat diambil alih dengan alat berat. Excavator merupakan salah satu alat berat yang telah digunakan dalam dunia pertambangan, banyak hal dapat dilakukan oleh excavator. Excavator terdiri dari tiga bagian utama, upperstructure, front attachment, dan undercarriage. Undercarriage adalah bagian utama yang memiliki fungsi untuk menopang excavator dan membuat excavator untuk dapat berjalan. Undercarriage selalu bersentuhan langsung dengan tanah saat unit bergerak atau unit stand by. Undercarriage juga menjaga unit dari beban kejut saat unit berjalan. Undercarriage sebagai pendukung utama dari excavator selalu mengalami keausan. Jika keausan terjadi dan tetap digunakan untuk pekerjaan berat maka keausan akan menjadi lebih buruk yang pada akhirnya membuat excavator berhenti bekerja karena salah satu komponen utama telah rusak. Program inspeksi Undercarriage adalah program yang telah dirancang untuk mencegah komponen utama dari undercarriage mengalami kerusak dan membuat unit berhenti bekerja. Program inspeksi Undercarriage telah dilakukan dengan mengukur mempunyai komponen utama undercarriage seperti upper roller, lower roller, front idler, drive tumbler, dan track shoe. Hasil dari pengukuran komponen akan dibandingkan dengan ukuran asli dari komponen dan akan dibandingkan dengan dimensi batas ukuran komponen untuk menentukan tingkat keausan. Tingkat keausan dapat digunakan untuk memperkirakan umur komponen diukur. Jika estimasi umur komponen telah diketahui, maka diharapkan dapat mengurangi waktu berhenti unit yang disebabkan kerusakan komponen undercarriage oleh keausan. (ABSTRACT) Heavy equipment has developed rapidly, a variety of that tasks can be taken over with it. Excavator is one of the heavy equipment has used in the mining world, a lot of things can be handled by it. Excavator consist of three major parts, upperstructure, front attachment, and undercarriage. Undercarriage is major part have a function to sustain of excavator and make excavator to be able to traveling. Undercarriage always in contact directly with ground material when the unit moves or the unit stand by. Undercarriage also keeps the unit from shock loads while the unit traveling. Undercarriage as the main support of excavator always wear of the main components. If the wear of the weight load always applying it will get worse and can be lead the excavator stop working because one of main components has broken. Undercarriage inspection program is a program has designed to prevent the main components of undercarriage geting damaged and make the unit stop working. Undercarriage inspection program had conducted by measuring the main componen of undercarriage like upper roller, lower roller, front idler, drive tumbler, and track shoe. The results of a measurements of components will be compared with the original size of components and will be compared with the limit dimentions of components size to determine of wear rate. The wear rate can be used to estimate life time of the measured components. If bein the estimate of life time had known, the components is expected to reduce the break down time because the damage of undercarriage components by wear.

Tingkat keausan dapat digunakan untuk memperkirakan umur komponen diukur. Jika estimasi umur komponen telah diketahui, maka diharapkan dapat mengurangi waktu berhenti unit yang disebabkan kerusakan komponen undercarriage oleh keausan.
