ABSTRACT Islamic Boarding School system is one component of education that can prevent learners from the negative influence of the outside world. Through character education system based Islamic Boarding School, the planting of character values in students can be implemented effectively, so that learners are able to form strong character, good and tough. Character education system based Islamic Boarding School is an educational process that system?s a systemic and systematic, both theoretical and practice in the field. This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies and design of multi-site research. While the techniques used in data collection is the technique of in-depth interviews (depth interview), participant observation, and documentation. Then, the data were analyzed through interactive analysis model with three stages, i.e individual data analysis, cross-site data analysis, and multidisciplinary analysis. Data validation is done with credibility test, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. This study aimed to analyze and discover: 1) The values of character developed in character education-based system of Islamic Boarding School in High School IT Al-Multazam and MA Husnul Khotimah Kuningan, 2) The implementation of character education-based system of Islamic Boarding School in High School IT Al -Multazam and MA Husnul Khotimah Kuningan, 3) Model-based character education system of Islamic Boarding School in High School IT Al-Multazam and MA Husnul Khotimah Kuningan, 4) the impact of character education system based Islamic Boarding School to the quality of high school graduates High School IT Al-Multazam and MA Husnul Khotimah Kuningan. The results showed that: 1) The values unique character developed in SMAIT Al-Multazam known as "Students SMAIT Al-Multazam full achievement". These include: character achievement, discipline, self-restraint, honest, and sincere. While the values of the unique character developed in MA Husnul Khotimah Kuningan know as "Students MA Husnul Khotimah mindfulness". These include: character diligent in worship, discipline, simple, and mutual cooperation, 2) The implementation of character education-based system of Islamic Boarding School is done in three steps, namely the cultivation of moral knowledge (character), moral consciousness and moral action on learners with models Habitualisasi-Humanistic-Integartif (HHI), 3) Model-based character education system of Islamic Boarding School in SMAIT Al-Multazam using four integration environment (mosques, dormitories, nature, class).
