ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are to understand and analyze the variants of basic beliefs in the story of Prophet Isa (PBUH) in some ayahs in Quran and the redaction of Gospel of Johanna. Excessive quantity of religious comparison themes is modern people?s need of this science, especially today. The research method used is comparative method. The data sources are Quran and Gospel of Johanna as primary source and some secondary sources to achieve the objectives. The analysis method uses thematic and inductive methods. The result shows that the story of Prophet Isa (PBUH) is divided into three categories: deity, prophethood, and listening. People think positively, follow the wealth of intellectual aspect and consider that this division is part of beliefs will create argumentation of justification of this division. For instance: believe in oneness of Allah is clear in Quran while in the Gospel of Johanna is complex. The story of the creation of Isa (PBUH) in Quran shows Allah?s perfect power and the realization of Allah?s will, while in the Gospel, there is a great contradiction because the will of Allah is considered equal with the intention of Isa (PBUH). The discussion about the nature of Allah in Quran; Allah is above all schemers, theologians are grouped into two: tafwid (relegation of matter to God) and ta?wil (allegorical interpretation). Gospel of Johanna believes that if Prophet Isa (PBUH) was not sent, undoubtedly all humans will be perished in hell. Christians believe that the phoenixes of Prophet Isa are the evidences of Isa Christ?s deity. Some of those phoenixes are considered valid, invalid, and being ignored in Quran. Holy Quran believes that this is argumentation of Allah?s oneness. Quran also delivers the good news of Prophet Muhammad to Prophet Isa, while in the Gospel of Johanna emphasises that the good news is delivered by angel Gabriel. In the same frame, Quran affirms the appointment of Prophet Isa while Gospel of Johanna explains about the mort of Prophet Isa. In the listening (several information) there are some similarities between Quran and Gospel and some differences about the cause of events and the contradiction of texts in the Gospel itself. ABSTRAK Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah memgetahui dan menganalisis varian dasar dasar keyakinan dalam kisah Isa As dalam beberapa surah al-Qur'an al-Karim dan redaksi Injil Yohana. Karena tujuan kekayaan tema perbandingan agama merupakan kebutuhan manusia modern terhadap ilmu ini, apalagi dimasa yang mana dunia ini bagaikan desa kecil. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode komparatif. Sedangkan sumber datanya adalah al-Qur'an al-karim dan Injil Yohana. Disamping itu sumber data sekunder adalah sumber data yg membantu untuk mencapai beberapa tujuan peneliti. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode tematik dan induktif.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kisah Isa As terbagi menjadi tiga. Pertama: ketuhanan. kedua: kenabian dan ketiga: pendengaran. Dengan beranggapan baik, berjalan dan mengikuti kekayaaan aspek intelektual umat yang memandang pembagian itu adalah bagian dari akidah, sehingga menjadi sebuah d
