ABSTRACT This study aims to determine work communication and its role in improving job performance at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Indonesia, knowing work communication system used by the Graduate State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Indonesia, knowing some factors of work communication that affect the increase of employee performance at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. This study is using descriptive methods research, with qualitative descriptive type, with analysis of several phenomena of this research theme. While the collecting data through interviews, observation and documents. The results of this study indicate that work communication and its role in improving job performance at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia runs in a structured and organized. The beginning stage of the process is the determination of the destination, then classification management needs in the Graduate, then the implementation of the plan and ends with the evaluation process; as it also shows that management used in the courses is based on Islamic, ethical, material and some other forms, it aims to take advantage of any advantages that exist for the purpose of improvement. The results of this study also explained that the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has no shortage in terms of facilities. And other important results of the research is that work communication in improving job performance got the attention and escort; by looking at the performance of each employee and then it is taken into consideration when the drafting process of the performance evaluation. In the evaluation of the performance; the first point discussed was work communication in job performance, including social and cultural communication which is owned by the management of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunikasi kerja dan perannya dalam meningkatkan prestasi kerja di Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Indonesia, mengetahui sistem komunikasi kerja yang digunakan oleh Pascasarjana Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Indonesia, mengetahui beberapa faktor dari komunikasi kerja yang berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan prestasi pegawai di Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunkan metode penelitian deskriptif, dengan jenis deskriptif kualitatif, dengan cara menganalisis beberapa fenomena dari tema penelitian ini. sedangkan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi kerja dan perannya dalam meningkatkan prestasi kerja di Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia berjalan secara terstruktur dan tersusun. Tahapan awal dari proses tersebut adalah penetuan tujuan, kemudian klasifikasi kebutuhan manajemen di Pascasarjana, kemudian pelaksanaan rencana dan diakhiri dengan proses evaluasi; sebagaimana juga menunjukkan bahwa manajemen yang digunakan di Pascasarjana adalah berbasis keislaman, etika, materi dan beberapa bentuk lain, semua itu bertujuan untuk mengambil manfaat dari setiap kelebihan yang ada untuk tujuan peningkatan. Hasil penelitian ini juga menjelaskan bahwa Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang tidak memiliki kekurangan dalam hal sarana. Dan dari hasil penelitian yang penting lai
