ABSTRACT See disorderly condition national morale, character education be an alternative main to overcome the problems. So character education into a theme with urgen its implementation for the development of the for character of being benchmark the success of a nation. Character education become programmed education must be implemented by the Indonesia. The character education is the part is very important in human life in order to form of private men to form personal morality in the social life, hence is needed step in business the search for values and the concept of character education based it Alquran that is a source of the truth in excellence. This study aims to to uncover the concept of character education in a lukman with a focus research which includes: 1) a human character in the Alquran letter Lukman; 2) the value of a character in alquran a letter Lukman, 3) the process planting the value of a character that is in Alquran a letter of Lukman. This research using the qualitative study with a kind of study library (library reseach).Technique the data collection was done with documentation. Data analyzed using content analysis. With the use of measures as follows: 1) prefer and observation carefully to text; 2) classifying components message containing character education; 3) analyzed data as a whole. Based on the research done it is found that; 1 a) human character in the Alquran a letter Lukman includes: a ) muhsinin, b ) piety, c) concerns high, d) humble, e) arrogant, f) and they favors; 2.The value of a character in a lukman includes: a) the value faith / call, b) the value birrul waalidain (kind to older people), c) the value thanks, d) wise, e) the value patient; 3. The process of planting the value of a character in a letter lukman that includes: a ) the cause of education that is contained in a letter lukman was an the process of planting value in an effort to form insan kamil (perfect human) , human rich in values character further islamic nuances?reflect on the their attitude the prophet who is based on the Alquran and Hadis, b) the material educations of the Alquran a letter Lukman consisting of has been, about the manner of faith, and attitude, c) to infuse value faith, attitude, and about the manner of the rules lukman uses the method listen carefully izdhah (advice), qudwah (example), targhib (suggestion), tarhib (a threat) and methods ban. ABSTRAK Melihat carut-marutnya kondisi moral bangsa, pendidikan karakter menjadi alternatif utama untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Dengan begitu pendidikan karakter menjadi sebuah tema yang urgen pelaksanaannya bagi pembangunan bangsa?sebab karakter menjadi tolak ukur keberhasilan suatu bangsa. Pendidikan karakter menjadi program pendidikan yang wajib dilaksanakan oleh bangsa indonesia.Pendidikan karakter merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia dalam rangka untuk membentuk pribadi manusia untuk membentuk pribadi yang bermoralitas dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, oleh karena itu sangatlah perlu langkah dalam usaha penelusuran nilai-nilai dan konsep pendidikan karakter berbasis al-Qur?an yang merupakan sumber kebenaran yang hakiki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap konsep pendidikan karakter dalam surat Lukman dengan fokus penelitian yang mencakup: 1) karakter manusia dalam al-Qur?an surat Lukman 2) nilai karakter dalam surat Lukman, 3) proses penanaman nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam surat Lukman Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis study pustaka (library reseach).
