ABSTRACT Arabic speaking is important linguistic activities in our daily life, especially for language learner. Principal language and the nature of the language is a speak, because the person may not knows what we think and what we feel without speaking. Speaking is one of 4 (four) of language skills are listening, speaking, reading and writing. So speaking is the ability of speak Arabic well and properly, and the purpose of this skill in learning Arabic is a student should be able to speak Arabic fluently and correctly. The problems of this research as follows: 1) How the learning process of direct method to increase Arabic speaking student of class XI at Bilingual Islamic Senior High School Batu? 2) How the increase of Arabic speaking student of class XI at Bilingual Islamic Senior High School Batu? The Method of this research is used a qualitative approach in the form of classroom action research (PTK). The Researcher observes and compares the student's ability to speak Arabic with Aplication of direct methods as well as through the test in the first cycle and the second cycle. The used instruments in data collection are: interview, observation and test. The research results based on the value obtained by students through the test, in the first cycle and second cycle as follows: 1) The first cycle test value = 1.614, with an average of 52,06. The second cycle test value = 1.908, with an average of 61,54. This value, shows the significant influence after direct methods applied in teaching, because test scores in the second cycle is greater than the value of the test in the first cycle. 2) The Comparison of test results or the percentage of first cycle and the second cycle test results, showing an increase and a significant increase: 1. Students with a good rating (jayyid) which initially 0% to 6%. 2. Predicate medium (mutawassith) from 3% to 16%. 3. Predicate enough (maqbul) from 13% to 62%. 4. As for students with weak predicate (dho'if) decreased initially 84% to 16%, these results showed improvement and repair of learning. 3) The Researcher became convinced that the direct method or this method is an effective method in learning, especially in terms of speaking. Because the students speak Arabic piecemeal despite the error. Direct methods encourage students to always focus on hearing that sleepiness and boredom of being lost and raised pleasure in participating in learning Arabic. The last, This method is very requires repetition and preparation of teacher, or Arabic teacher so manifest an active, effective, and efficient learning. ABSTRAK Keterampilan berbicara merupakan kegiatan kebahasaan yang penting dalam kehidupan kita sehari-hari terutama bagi pembelajar bahasa. Pokok bahasa dan hakekat bahasa ialah berbicara, karena tidak mungkin seseorang mengetahui apa yang kita pikirkan dan apa yang kita rasakan tanpa berbicara. Keterampilan berbicara merupaka
