ABSTRACT As we know that literature can not be separated from the literature because the existence of a literary work is caused by the literature.And literary works come from the imagination and thoughts of the author (writer) which is obtained from his experience, environment and knowledge. Thus, the literary work has similarities with the previous literary works. And here, the researchers found similarities between the story of Musa in the Qur'an and the story of Jabal by Najib Mahfoudz. And to know about the truth, the researcher analyzes the use of intertextual theory. This study took two research questions, those are: First, which Qur'anic verses that tells about Musa that influence Najib Mahfoudz' Jabal.Second, what is the intertextual between Musa's story in al-Qur'an and Najib Mahfoudz' Jabal. This research is a kind of library research using descriptive qualitative method and intertextual theory approach and make the verses of Musa's story in the Qur'an and the story of Jabal by Najib Mahfoudz as a primary data of this research. Based on the research questions before, researcher found intertextual between these two objects, those are: al-Baqarah: 49, al-Qasas: 15, 18-27, 30, at-Taha: 77, 78, and found the intrinsic elements in terms of the characterizations , background, point of view, plot, and theme. ABSTRAK Sebagaimana kita ketahui bahwa sastra tidak terlepas dari karya sastra karena eksistensi karya sastra disebabkan oleh adanya sastra. Dan karya sastra bersumber dari imajinasi dan pemikiran pengarang (sastrawan) yang didapatkan dari pengalaman, lingkungannya serta pengetahuanya. Dengan demikian, karya sastra memiliki kemiripan dengan karya sastra sebelumnya. Dan disini, peneliti menemukan kemiripan antara kisah Musa AS dalam al Qur?an dan kisah Jabal karya Najib Mahfoudz. Dan untuk mengetahuin tentang kebenarannya maka peneliti menganalis menggunakan teori intertekstual. Penelitian ini mengambil dua rumusan masalah, yaitu: pertama, ayat al-Qur?an apa yang mengkisakan Musa AS dalam al-Qur?an yang mempengruhi kisah Jabal karya Najib Mahfoudz.. Kedua, apa intertekstual antara kisah Musa AS dalam al-Qu?an dan kisah Jabal karya Najib Mahfoudz. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pustaka dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendektan teori intertekstual dan menjadikan ayat-ayat kisah Musa AS dalam al-Qur?an dan kisah Jabal karya Najib Mahfoudz sebagai datar primer dari penelitian ini. Dari dua rumusan masalah, peneliti menemukan intertekstual antara kedua objek tersebut, yaitu: surat al-Baqarah: 49, al-Qashas:15, 18-27, 30, at-Thaha:77, 78, dan menemukan unsur intrinsik dari segi penokohan, latar, sudut pandang, alur, dan tema
